300 join us for annual awards event

We’re in the final days before the 2018 Impact Awards – DigitalAgenda’s annual celebration of the very best of UK tech for good. 300 guests are signed up to join us on the day, from the worlds of business, investment, government and non-profits – check out the guest list below. Julian Blake reports.

2017 Impact Awards winnersThe UK’s leading celebration of technology for good is almost upon us. DigitalAgenda’s Impact Awards, sponsored by Nominet Trust in association with Berenberg, happen at east London’s wonderful Oval Space on Wednesday March 7.

We’re proud to be assembling what should be a very special occasion indeed.

300 tech-for-good innovators, investors, policymakers, academics and more join us for the afternoon-into-evening event. Check out some of the organisations already confirmed to attend below – with the list already reading like a who’s who of UK tech for good.

Judging in January narrowed down the 250+ who entered to a shortlist across 12 categories. Among the digital innovators on the brilliant shortlist are Citizens Advice, Alcove and what3words. Our people’s choice poll of the 36 finalists attracted 2500 votes – and the winner will be announced at the event.

Alongside the awards, we have a superb speaker line-up that includes government digital director Matthew Gould,, Gail Gallie from UN-backed Project Everyone and Mairi Johnson from our 2017  health award winner, Babylon Health.

Oli Barrett MBE comperes – who many will remember from last year’s Barbican show.

The event, now in its second year, is informal and definitely not your usual black-tie-and-tables awards affair. We want people coming along to have the best chance to connect, so the format builds in time to meet others in the room.

We kick off the awards ceremony at 3pm, with an evening reception following until 9pm. Food and drink are included in the ticket price, with our evening reception kindly sponsored by Paul Hamlyn Foundation.

We also have music and visuals from Noise of Art featuring Ben Osborne and VJ Overlap. The whole event will be filmed by students from City University London’s journalism school. Watch out for our livestream on social media.

If you want to join in on March 7, there are several affordable options available via our awards booking page.

Matthew GouldSingle tickets start at £49. But we also have a limited ‘3-for-2’ offer that gives you three tickets for £98. Use code Guest-3for2 when booking.

Our all-in six-ticket awards supporter package comes in at £349. It’s a good option if you want to bring a group along. Among the supporters taking this option so far are BWB, Cass, Dotforge, Fair by Design, Friendly Fires, NatWest, UCL and Yoti.

Members of the DigitalAgenda Network qualify for a 20% discount on tickets.

We’re supported by great award category sponsors, including BCS, Barclays, ClearlySo, Gone for Good, Impact Reporting, Opencast Software, Reason Digital, Sharemrkt, The People Who Share, The Planet Mark and US Ai.
