Winners embedded in London Tech Week

London Tech Week – the UK’s biggest digital startup festival – marks its fourth year in June. DigitalAgenda is pleased to announce a new partnership with the new team now running its central show that embeds our Impact Awards winners into the event.

london sunsetThe fourth annual London Tech Week happens from June 12-16 – and thanks to a new partnership with festival organisers DigitalAgenda and its network of impact tech businesses will be in the thick of it.

London Tech Week is a festival of hundreds of live events across the UK capital, showcasing and celebrating the best of tech alongside providing networking, social, learning and business opportunities. Tens of thousands attend.

After three years in the hands of UBM, Informa-owned KNect365 now runs London Tech Week alongside its founding partners London & Partners and Tech London Advocates. KNect365’s management of the ExCeL event and more is expected to give the week a lift.

At the heart of London Tech Week is Project Kairos, a new event created by KNect365, showcasing 150 startups to 15,000 industry visitors and investors at London’s ExCel Centre from June 13-15.

‘Kairos’ is ancient Greek meaning the right or opportune moment – and organisers clearly hope that the event will create the kind serendipity that often leads to great businesses.

In a new partnership announced at the Barbican this week, DigitalAgenda’s Impact Award winners will have access to the event’s Startup City Demo Zone, and have access to networking, meeting services and pitching opportunities.

Gavin Whitechurch, KNect365’s California-based SVP of strategy and innovation, attends DigitalAgenda’s awards evening. He’ll explain how Project Kairos will welcome winners of the Impact Awards as free exhibitors at the London Tech Week event.

DigitalAgenda editor Julian Blake said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with KNect365 on the Project Kairos event. The offer of exhibition space for all our Impact Award winners is a sign of the commitment of KNect365 to promoting technology for good. The opportunity of a space gives our winners a chance to meet the cream of London’s technology startup and investor community.”
